Maureen Dunne Competition 2008
Congratulations to Peter Stafford who was the overall winner of the Maureen Dunne competition which was held on Monday the 19th of May '08. Peter won the competition with his print of a Mara and Cub and is pictured with the judge, Eddie Cody from Tallaght PS .
Clondalkin Camera Club plays host...
Clondalkin Camera Club played host to the second last round of the DSLR regionals. Clondalkin took on Tallaght and Malahide and were succussful on the night. Congratulations! Check here for a round up of the overall results in a few days.
DSLR Nature Competition
Congratulations to Ted Jeane who swept the board at the DSLR Nature Competition held at Tallaght Photographic Society on Sunday the 20th Jan 2008. Ted picked up four awards including first place in the projected nature image. Click here for all four images.
Club Competitions
Each month there is a club photographic competition. It alternates between colour prints one month and slides/monochrome prints the next. An independent judge will critic the entries and these results will determine the club photographer of the year.
There are three categories: Beginners or those who are new to photography, Intermediate, those who have progressed on from beginner level and have a good standard of photography. Finally Advanced, this level contains members who have achieved a high standard of photography. The club and individual members will also take part in many other national competitions throughout a season. The biggest of these is the National League. Regional Rounds of this league are now underway and you can check the progress with the link to the left.
